On this trip we will visit the village of Belaraghi and spend the night there. This is your chance to experience the life of the natives in a remote mountain village.

There are two options to this two day trip: a one hour hike or a longer seven to eight hour hike through the jungle (breaks included).

Either way you have the unique opportunity to spend the night as a guest in a traditional house. I do not inform the villagers of our arrival beforehand. This means that we are able to experience their everyday activities like mashing rice or using their special tools to open cashew nuts.

The local villagers will provide us with vegetables from their gardens and meat prepared over an open fire. We will be able to use their washing facilities (cold water). In Ngada culture it is common to sacrifice a hen and read the future where guests arrive. If you wish, you may participate in this tradition.
